Vacation to Ixtapa, Mexico!!!!!  Our trip started by driving to St Louis on Tuesday evening. We had a little trouble getting Paisley to go to sleep that night.  She was too excited for her vacation :)  Anyway, after about a total of 12 hours of travelling we finally made it to Ixtapa!  Here is the view from our balcony.  We had a two bedroom condo right on the beach!

One of her favorite things to do on vacation was to smell the flowers.  They were so pretty!  I am definitely ready for spring/summer after this trip!

We decided to go to dinner pretty much as soon as we checked out the place.

We had to improvise on a bath tub.  The condo had two bathrooms with two showers only.  Paisley is taking a bath in the hot tub on our balcony :)

Hat...check.  Sunglasses...check.  Sunscreen...check.

Bill loves to get the Mariachi bands to come play at our table.  I was begging him not to but he thought Paisley would enjoy.  And yes Bill, you were right!  She could not stop smiling and dancing :)

Adam, Justin, Allie, and I went deep sea fishing or I guess you could just say that we took a cruise on a fishing boat in the ocean :)

Oh wait, we caught one fish when we were almost back to the marina.  The smallest Mahi Mahi ever :)  Needless to say, we let him keep swimming in the ocean.

Paisley: Mom, I see you do this all the time.  Did I do it right? 

I could not resist a picture.  She seriously watches my every move.  What a little minnie me :)

 

The guys went golfing twice.  And yes they did see alligators.  They did not chase too many golf balls!

Leave it to my family.  Football on TV then we HAVE to find a place to watch it.  Who says just because you are in Mexico that you can not watch the Superbowl in English with American commercials!  We had so much fun!

We had a swing set at our condo.  Paisley loved the swings and slides as always!

Adam and I took Paisley to swim with the dolphins.  She loved it at first and then I think she was really confused.  She kept making fish noises at it though.

The last night before we left mom and Bill offered to keep Paisley so Adam and I could have a peaceful dinner.

Paisley went to Grandma and Grandpa Hoke's yesterday.  She was so excited to see "Baby" (that is what she calls Bogey).  I am not sure Bogey was so excited to see her.  I am also not sure how this picture happened knowing the two of them.  Anyway, Paisley had so much fun visiting and was so excited to see them!

This morning was a relaxing morning for Paisley and I.  We made blueberry pancakes and read lots of books.  Paisley's legs have gotten long enough so she can officially crawl up onto the couch by herself.  Big girl!

We are heading to Mexico in 2 days so no more blog posts until we get back.  Love you all!

Griffin Swinger :)

Welcome!

We are very excited to announce a new addition to our family.  Griffin Louis Swinger joined us all tonight around 6pm.  Matt and Brittany are very excited to welcome their second son.  He weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21 3/4 inches long.  (I think all of those stats are right)  Anyway, mom and baby are doing great after a week that was very long and trying.  Welcome Griff!  We can't wait to hold and start playing with you!

I wanted to do something fun and different today so I took Paisley to the YMCA for a little swim.  I had never visited the Christian County YMCA but thought we could have some fun!  We are also leaving for Mexico in 11 days so I wanted to introduce her to the swimming pool again.

Needless to say, I do not think we will have to worry about her not liking the water.  She had a blast!

She enjoyed the tire swing that you can not really see in this picture and the slide.  Between the swinging, sliding, floating/walking around in lazy pool, and jumping in, I bet I can not even count the number of times I heard MORE!  After 1 1/2 hours in the water and a lot of wrinkles in her hands and feet, I convinced her to leave (not without tears though).  We can't wait to go to the pool again!

today we went to the mall as a family.  we needed to get a few clothes for a mexico trip which is coming up in 16 days :)  daddy was not paying much attention and let paisley see the carousel.  (i always avoided that area as best i could :))  anyway, grandma sandy and papa bill were there too so paisley got her way and was around to ride a "neigh".  she was so excited!

when the carousel started, she let go and let me hold her.  she giggled the entire time.  i did not realize a carousel was so much fun :)

our shopping trips will never be the same...or maybe i can use the carousel as a great bribery tool :)
